Andy Maschke founded Superior Saddlery after training as a saddlemaker in Europe before relocating to Arizona and later establishing the shop in Greenville, Texas. The shop's SYMMETREES system uses hardwood tree cores fully encapsulated in fiberglass, which eliminates the moisture warping that affects traditional rawhide-covered wood trees.

The Ranch Rider and Ranch Rider Deluxe lines are in David's current inventory. Signature models including Casey Deary, Craig Schmersal, Jason Vanlandingham, and Mandy McCutcheon are in David's current inventory. New Superior Saddlery saddles are available through David Solum.

Donn Leson built reining saddles in Grants Pass, Oregon. He is no longer living and production has permanently ceased, making his saddles available only through the used market.

Dale Harwood received a National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He opened his first saddle shop in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1961 and built the last two saddles of his career in 2018. He made his own wooden saddle trees from scratch, processed his own rawhide, and hand-stamped the leather entirely by hand.

Kyle Tack builds reining and cow horse saddles in Weatherford, Texas.

Teddy Johnson built cutting saddles in Gainesville, Texas. He is semi-retired and production is minimal. David Solum has Teddy Johnson cutting saddles in current inventory.

Calvin Allen builds cutting and crossover saddles in Weatherford, Texas. The Ranch Cutter model is a crossover build suited to both cutting competition and ranch work. David Solum has Calvin Allen saddles in current inventory.

Martin Saddlery is based in Greenville, Texas and builds reining, cow horse, and ranch saddles. David Solum has Martin Saddlery saddles in current inventory.

Pinnacle Saddlery was an earlier brand under which Andreas Maschke built saddles in Arizona before establishing Superior Saddlery. The brand is no longer in production. David Solum has a Pinnacle saddle in current inventory.

Circle Y was founded by Leland Tucker in Yoakum, Texas in 1960. The company produces western saddles across multiple disciplines and uses a Flex2 tree design.

Billy Cook began building saddles in Greenville, Texas in the early 1950s before relocating to Sulphur, Oklahoma. The company is now owned by Adam Trenk, an Arizona horseman and attorney.

Billy Royal produces western show, reining, and work saddles.

Tex Tan is part of the American Saddlery group and produces entry-level western saddles across ranch, trail, and pleasure disciplines.

Reinsman produces western saddles along with a line of saddle pads and bits.

Tucker Saddlery produces trail, endurance, and gaited horse saddles.

Bob's Custom Saddles is based in Weatherford, Texas and builds reining, cow horse, and cutting saddles. Bob Avila signature models are in David's current inventory across multiple builds. The Lady Cowhorse is a cow horse crossover build available in David's inventory.
